Winter and Baseball

Even though I awoke to some snow this morning I am thinking baseball today. It's just that time of year. Spring training games started Saturday. Some were on the MLB channel. The Red's spring training game against the Indians will be on t.v. tonight.

It was time to change my chalk board and put some baseballs out.

There are only two seasons-winter and Baseball. ~Bill Veeck

So true in this household. Well, Tim would probably say golf.

Seth's glove and a major league ball a Red's player threw to Sarah during warm ups one time.

My little daffodils have bloomed. Thankfully they are resilient and survived the snow.

Now, just because baseball is on my mind, it doesn't mean basketball isn't. It is March after all. Which means basketball and March madness. The ACC tournament starts Thursday and since Virginia finished fourth they play Friday. Looking forward to baseball and basketball all this month!

  1. We love baseball at this house, too. We are Texas Ranger fans and we were heartbroken when they ALMOST had the series and lost it :(

Here's to a great baseball season!

    1. Aww, I was so disappointed when the Rangers lost. I love Josh Hamilton as I have been following him since he was a Red. :) And as avid Red's fans we hate...I mean dislike the Cardinals. ;)

  2. Thanks for the Reds schedule...
We spend a lot of our time at Great American Ball park. We are a huge baseball family. My eight year old is chomping at the bit to start practice!

    1. Yea! A Reds fan! We usually get up to Cincy once a year (we live 4 1/2 hours) but weren't able to last year. I have already been looking at the schedule this year planning which games to see. Thank goodness for the MLB package...at least we can watch the games. :) How fun for your son! I'm sure he is excited. We have the best memories of when our son played. :)
